ANOTHER SHORT-TERM DELAY FOR 21% CUT IN PHYICIAN MEDICARE PAYMENTS

Late Thursday, the President signed legislation that will provide another temporary fix postponing a 21% reduction in Medicare reimbursement to physicians until June 1, 2010. Congress is expected to take up legislation to extend the current payment rate until October 1, 2010. The Senate has passed a separate bill to achieve this extension and the House may be willing to follow this proposal; however, the future of this extension remains uncertain. * * * If you have any questions regarding this Alert, please contact the author or your Clark Hill attorney.
